Yesterday was kind of a hectic day. I had been worried about Jentri's breathing, because she had been coughing and wheezing a lot. I had been putting off taking her to the doctor because she had not been running a fever. I decided that I would call the doctor's office and find out whether they wanted to see her or not. I had to leave a message for the nurse, but I knew she would call me back soon. I took my phone to class with me, but sure enough I missed her call anyway. She left me a message to go ahead and bring her in to be seen. In a scurry, I had to leave school, go pick-up Jentri, and head to the doctor's office.
She didn't get to see her regular pediatrician, because he was working in Republic that day. So, she had to see one of the other doctors. When the doctor was examining her he didn't even use his stethoscope to listen to her breathe because her wheezing was so loud. He decided to send us down and get x-rays and also have her swabbed for RSV and other respiratory viruses that could be causing the breathing problems. Jentri did very well while getting her x-ray and while getting swabbed. Those swabs always looks so painful because they have to get so far up in their little noses. Chezney had to get swabbed for RSV at 9 months old and it made her nose bleed.
The diagnosis turned out to be pneumonia again. Back in November, we had to take her to the E.R. for the same issue and it turned out to be pneumonia also. Now that she has had two bouts of the same breathing issues in the last two months, it kind of throws up some red flags that she might have some asthma issues. When she goes back for her well check-up in a few months, we will discuss what will be the next step if she continues to have these same issues.
I pray she gets through this just fine and we do not have to deal with this again. I really dislike having to give her breathing treatments and antibiotics all the time. Chezney had a lot of ear infection issues as a baby. It resulted in her having to get a set of tubes put in her ears at 9 months and then again at 18 months. It seemed like we were at the doctor constantly and she had to take a lot of antibiotics until we could figure out what to do. Jentri has not had any ear issues, but it looks like she is going to have the breathing issues. I guess no one said that motherhood would be easy. It definitely has its ups and downs. I love being a mom and I would not trade these moments, good or bad, for anything.
This is my attempt to record down all the small moments that mean the most.

Forgotten Moments
There are already so many little moments that I have forgotten and I don't want to forget anything else. Along my journey, I'm sure I will also have some rants and raves over the stresses associated with working full-time and also working my way through graduate school. Overall, I'm going to take the time to record down all the precious moments in my children's lives that I want to cherish forever.
Sunday
I really look forward to Sundays. Even though our Sundays are usually busy, I still enjoy spending time with my family and church family. Our usual routine is to get up, eat breakfast, scramble to get ready and attempt to make it to Sunday school on time. After a great service at church, we come home, eat lunch, and Jentri takes a nap while the rest of us either clean or lay around and watch T.V. At 5:00, Chezney and I have to go to children's choir, with church following at 6:00. Finally, we head home, eat dinner, take baths, and go to bed. Even though it may not seem that exciting, I really enjoy the simplicity of spending the day with my family. I don't think I spend enough time enjoying what God has blessed me with, because I'm always thinking about what's coming next on my busy schedule. My goal is to take time and be still and thank God for his many blessings.
